Hi everyone! Today Sukjai is going to introduce you to the new theme of TAT’s website! The website is now covered in Green Tourism to welcome the current travel season. For some of you might not understand the meaning of green tourism, Sukjai will give a brief explanation of it in today’s log.
Green tourism or ecotourism is a form of tourism that is intended as a low-impact and an alternative to standard mass tourism. This kind of tourism requires no advanced technologies but the two hands of each of us to help preserve the deteriorating environment, and in the meantime improve it. A number of organizations nowadays have given attention to green tourism following the global warming awareness. Sukjai thinks it is crucial that we together help protect our precious world.
Now Sukjai would like to show you to an interesting green tourism destination. It is Ban Pret Mangrove Forest in Trat Province. If you have a chance to drop by here do not forget to appreciate the 12-meter-long Bryde’s whale bones preserved by the villagers for educational purpose. Here you can also learn about the importance of mangrove forests and get to know the way of life of the local people.
